The season finale of the 2021 Formula 1 season may still be one of the most talked about events in the world of motorsport, but away from the championship drama, history was also made elsewhere. On 7th December 2021, McLaren Racing revealed it’s iconic one-off livery, the first in the F1 world to be designed by a professional artist. Along with McLaren’s principal partner, Vuse, Driven by Diversity was privileged to be part of the team that brought artist Rabab Tantawy’s vibrant vision to life.

McLaren Racing drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris took Rabab’s artwork to the track all week, to be witnessed by a cumulative audience of 1.55 billion viewers from around the world. After the close of the season, Rabab and the team at Vuse released the artwork from the historic moment as a one-of-one NFT, with proceeds from the sale being donated to Driven by Diversity. The original artwork, titled ‘Together As One’ sold for 800 Tezos (approx. USD$3000). The donation from the sale of the artwork now powers the Driven by Change Creative Grant.
